Florida Illustrated was founded in July 2015 with the goal of creating an image-centric blog devoted to the state of Florida. Since then, I’ve attended dozens of events in the Tampa Bay area, and posted hundreds of photos on Florida Illustrated.
I visited 3 different art galleries: (1)
The TECO Public Art Gallery in Tampa for a Cuban art exhibit
The TECO Public Art Gallery, downtown Tampa.
Syd Entel Galleries in Safety Harbor for the Dr. Seuss “Oh the Places You’ll Go” 25th anniversary gallery exhibition;
the Dunedin Fine Art Center galleries for their WILD! quintuplet gallery opening.
I attended over a dozen festivals throughout Tampa Bay, including:
Wazoo in Tampa; Tampa Underground Comedy Fest, Lagerhaus Oktoberfest, Rocktoberfest, Pumkinpalooza, and Witchstock in Palm Harbor;
Wazoo – annual festival of beer in Lowry Park Zoo.

The Black Honkey’s playing at Rocktoberfest.

I experimented with aerial photography from the rooftops of
Jimmy’s Crows Nest and The Clearwater Main Library.
And I experimented with Black & White photography on
Tarpon Lake and at Heritage Village.
In short, I’ve had a full year of art, photography, festivals, and music, and I hope 2016 will bring more of the same. Happy New Year!
