A great beach burger is about more than just the burger – it’s also about the beach. When you combine a great beach with a great burger, great things are bound to happen. Here are two of my all-time favorite beach burgers:
The Famous Palm Burger at The Palm Pavilion, Clearwater, FL
Clearwater Beach has changed a lot over the years, but the Palm Pavilion has been here since 1926. For those of you living in or around Clearwater, FL, the Palm Pavilion needs no introduction. But for the rest of you…The Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar is a casual seafood/beach food restaurant sitting on a beautiful stretch of white sand on Florida’s gulf coast. Their mission: to serve food that people like to eat on the beach. This includes hot dogs, hamburgers, and seafood. They are particularly famous for their Palm Burger, made from their own private blend of Angus beef. I love sitting out on their patio, listening to music and staring out at the Gulf of Mexico, while taking a bite out of one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted.
The Beach House Burger at The Beach House, Miramar Beach, FL
I ate at the Beach House for the first time last weekend. It was the 4th of July, and we were desperately trying to find a beach near Destin, FL that wasn’t filled to capacity. Thankfully, we were able to park at the Beach House, part of the Hilton Sandestin Gulf & Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, FL. The Beach House is a gulf-front restaurant with a small (but great) sandwich menu and a long list of Fat Tuesday frozen concoctions to choose from. If you like to enjoy your burgers on the beach with a daiquiri in hand, then you will love this place. I certainly did. Although they’ve only been around for a year (they opened in April 2015), the Beach House is destined to become a local Miramar Beach landmark.
Where did you have your best burger on the beach?
