Dunedin Wines the Blues

Wine and blues filled downtown Dunedin this weekend for the annual Dunedin Wines the Blues festival.  Per usual, the main stage was in Pioneer Park, but there were three additional stages this year as well.

The main stage in Pioneer Park.

By the time we got there, Ari & The Alibis were finishing their set with gusto, playing out to a large crowd in Pioneer Park.

In between sets, we explored the many white tents lining Main Street in search of wine.  Excepting the VIP tent, there were two tents selling wine in exchange for “bluenotes,” the currency of the festival.

You could also purchase wine at many of the restaurant/bars lining Main Street.

Stirling Wines drew a good crowd, keeping their doors open during the festival.

You can’t have wine without some cheese, and The Cheese Lodge of New Port Richie delivered, offering several high quality cheeses to festivalgoers on Main Street.

We returned to our lawn chairs in the park as The Kinsey Report took the stage at 9pm.
